Everyday with poetry #7 -- Beech Street

 12:29 pm

Beech Street by Robert G Parent

I travel down Beech Street. It's been awhile I lived here. It's weird because I travel a new road now with new experiences.

Was this what Robert Frost thought many years ago when he wrote, "The Road Less Traveled."

Road as an image of going to or moving away, we all have these roads. Road as an image of class of rich or poor, manicured or dirt.

But, I think road as a journey, a journey of growth, even if I stand still before a decision. I'm still on the journey of growth, either spiritual or another type.

Whether I go toward sunset or sunrise, my journey continues. A new road is before me. I lift up my foot for the first step, toward growth and walk a new path.

Everyday with Poetry #6 -- Sacred Space

Check out my video where I hiked Arathusa Falls and found a sacred space in the woods of New Hampshire at ArathusaFalls

Sacred Space by Robert G Parent

In a world of Technical and Social wonder, I seek that special space, that sacred space.

To walk in a Church, to walk among the woods, to feel something bigger, to feel changed, I walk with purpose.

To remember a way of being, to feel at one with the All -- with God, I crave the sacred, to be a re-plucked guitar string and become New.

Everyday poetry #5 -- Everyday Illusion

Everyday Illusion
by Robert G Parent

See the illusion in everyday actions
Where do they come from
The choices we make
Based upon our beliefs
We have in the moment
Know that
What we believe changes
From time to time
Based on who we are trying to become in that moment
And about who we think we are
We create what we think about
To create differently
Think different
And become something new.

Everyday Poetry #4 -- Life's News

Life's News
 by Robert G Parent

My shirts spinning in the machine
News of the day on TV
People talking about Life's issues
In the laundromat.

Cars travel on the road outside
 People in their homes
 Watching movies, sports, and shows
All life is centered in the laundromat.

Here in Washington, DC 1600 Pennsylvania avenue down the road My shirts spinning in the machine
People talk about Life's issues,
All life is centered in the laundromat.

Sacred Places

Here is some poetry from the White Mountains.

Sacred Places
by Robert G Parent

Go into stores
Restaurants or anywhere
Bring your mask
For it's required wear
Day upon day
Week upon week
Many months we did
I long for the natural way
A walk in the woods
Or even a national forest
To feel those energies
To hear those sounds
To see awesome things
Within a forest canopy
No masks
No cities
No negativity
Just beauty
Beauty we all long for
Come ye enter
The land of peace
In nature's sacred places
And re-balance

No Soul in Social Media

No soul in social media
by Robert G Parent

My voice may be loud
But no one hears it
I am not respected
This is how I feel

Why not?
I am a child of the one God
In a world of social media
No one really says a word

But in this world of social media
Only the loudest egos
Can be heard
To drown the ocean's roar

Everyday with Poetry #3 -- City Nightlife

I wrote this last year. Its amazing how I'd miss these sounds of the city nightlife.

City nightlife
The sound of music in the distance
The sound of cars passing on the streets
The talk I hear from outside
of a local tavern
In the heart of the Historic District
Many years in another time
The same sounds were heard
The sounds of the country are nice
But magical the city sounds can be
In this magical world
We live in

Zombies

Zombies

by Robert G Parent

 They wear the masks
 Touch it
 while eating and not eating
 without thinking

They sit with families
in stores and resturants
with no masks
while others do

The subconscious desire
the fear of death
the fear of being themselves
the fear of being outted

They wear the masks
while alone in a car
while walking outside
while hiking in the woods

The mindless automatons
doing what they're told
the zombie appocalyse is here
the end of freedom has begun.

Cool Autumn Day

Cool Autumn Day
 by Robert G Parent

The day in August is cool
Foreshadowing
what's to come
Calmness in the present day
I see myself
reflected in the season
Light ripples in the lake
Birds sing their songs
Ducks glide on the surface
I too do my own thing
The tree looks
down on the scene
The bench next to the tree
Waits for humans
to do the same
They're stuck in their fear
But the time is to come
When humans too
shall be calm
For good or for ill
The choice is always theirs.

Blessings of nature
by Robert G Parent

I sit here a rest area in Hooksett New Hampshire and think about my day. Oh how lucky, how blessed I was today driving around the White Mountains, hiking in the woods, recording audio and video, sharing my story of New Hampshire and the mountains I enjoy.

Beautiful cool night in August, sitting outside the diner eating a cheeseburger and drinking a Powerade, I look at the 93 in front of me, the cars in the parking lot, and the stars in the night sky. We all had a journey today, an experience that at some point is shared in our Collective consciousness.

I remember Robert Frost said something like men work together even though they are apart. I think he saw in his observations of nature the continuity of human consciousness within all life.

We all learn this lesson in our lives either now at present, in the past, or in the future. If we were to take the passage of time out of the equation, we would see this truth all at once. But, I'd still miss the passage of time because we get to write a story and tell it over a time written in the atoms of the Soul.

Within the infinity atoms are the libraries of the Soul, keeper of much information from another universe long since dead, the experiences are stored forever to be accessed and pondered on to give new insights from those lessons long ago. Oh, how beautiful the thought.

How Space Changes

Our Spaces
by Robert G Parent

Our space changes
how we do
our space changes
how society does
all the stuff people buy
is how minimalism came
we decide how society changes
to only buy stuff
We truly love
instead of clutter we never use
The energy, the psychology
The soul of our spaces
depends on how we use
Our Spaces,  over a time.

Everyday with Poetry #2 -- inflammation

Everyday with Poetry #2 -- Inflammation
Robert G Parent

It's cooler outside.
But a building takes longer to cool.
Should I get an extension cord
and put the fan in front of window,
to pull the cool night air into myself,
the place I dwell?
A simple question we have in the heat of summer.
To cool the inflammation of a life
lived in stress, anxiety, and worry,
a trinity of another source,
that also teaches.
I watch van life videos on YouTube,
a simple life maybe,
that is what I need.
Maybe, that's what we all need,
a simple life,
well maybe,
a simple elegant life.

Lost in Consciousness

I hiked The Lost River trail. Just being among the huge rocks and water gave me a spiritual look at my walk on the Earth.

The place where Earth and Water meet inspired this poem "Lost in Consciousness"
ClickHereforTheLostRiverVideo to discover my inspiration and enjoy this mystical poem.

Lost in Consciousness

I dance to the beat of the native drum. I hear water spirit driving a path through rock of a river lost somewhere in time.

We all walk our path, experience to experience, and exchange information to assimilate it into knowledge that is added to the human collective.

We learn and grow in our consciousness as knowledge becomes wisdom in the dance we share within our being of the life, to again move to a new place within the consciousness.

Coffee House

I wrote this on November 30th, 2010 at the end of nanowrimo. It's been awhile since I did nanowrimo, so this year I'm planning to do  nanowrimo in November.

November 30th, 2010 --  Coffee House

Warm coffee house
Music on the radio
Cars and people
Go to and fro
On this cold morning
Before the Winter's scene

Nanowrimo is past
New projects
New adventures
Wait to be revealed
As the seed planted
In cold ground
Waits for Spring's rebirth

Cycles repeat
Planting and harvesting
Seeds of different types
Up Fibonacci's spiral
Creating and becoming
Something new,
Every day
Every month
Every year,
And every millennium.

The Wheel of Time spins
on the space's canvas
Going  to some place
Some other time
Where a writer sits
In a warm Coffee House
Listening to music
Telling a new story,
A new poem
Of a moment in cycle
In Fibonacci's spiral
Within all life.

Song of the Poet

Song of the Poet

It's me Lord writing this poem.
You know who I am;
I know who you are.
We are one in body, mind, emotion.

We are vibration.
We are Love and Light.
We are Inspiration.
We are Joy.

I have lived my life in frustration,
Looking for that one communication.
I play in this vibration,
So once again to be in that place.

To stand tall as the one spine,
The Tree of Life, I look to see
The one truth of life is its vine
Within this being I only know that...

We are vibration.
We are Love and Light.
We are Inspiration.
We are Joy.

A poem should be words
for a song not written.
A poem is a song not sung
but a life lived.

We are vibration.
We are Love and Light.
We are Inspiration.
We are Joy.

It's me Lord writing this poem.
I don't know how it will begin.
I don't know how it will end.
All I want is to inspire.

It's me Lord with frustration.
I look for communication,
to pray in Soul's vibration
and be in that place again.

Standing tall as the spine
of the One True forever
within this being
I am one in body, mind, soul.

We are vibration.
We are Love and Light.
We are Inspiration.
We are Joy.

We are vibration.
We are Love and Light.
We are Inspiration.
We are Joy.

Everyday with Poetry #1 -- Dead Air

Everyday with Poetry #1

Even though this was written last year, it still holds much significance today.

June 28, 2019 @ 10:27pm 80*F

My fan blade pushes dead air
Cross my room
To try to cool me off
In a place with no air conditioning.

I watch a YouTube video
on organization
So tired.

Warm air pushes out of fan blades
Summer Night Life
out  my window
I think, Sleep would be good.

Took a nap earlier
In my air condictioned car
A spiritual book on Audible plays

I sleep better in air conditioning
Now at 10:35 p.m.

Enter Ye the Land of Dreams

Enter Ye the Land of Dreams
By Robert G Parent

To ride a rusty chevy,
To cruise a classy caddy,
Under the flag that waves,
There's a life of success or failure.

It's not how you handle
the successes in life.
It's how you handle
the defeats.

Move through your life
with purpose.
Remember your Dreams, your desires,
in the hard times.

The goal by God
planted in your heart
water this seed
and watch your crop grow.

Dreamcatchers

Dreamcatchers
Slices of a deeper web
A web that mirrors the internet
Where knowledge is captured from a higher source
It's knowledge of who we really are
It is pure consciousness
Where we are mind and emotion
Where a lake is just a collection of energy
Waiting to be used and transformed
Mixed with other energies
Like trees, sky, and even ourselves
In that other web it's easier to be
Who we choose to be in the love of purpose.

Honor the Moment

Honor the Moment by Robert G Parent

In this time of stress and anxiety, we need to come back to our center, our place of stillness to connect to the energies of creation. We need to remember who we are and the wonderful creation our bodies are. One way to keep up your immune system is to de-stress. Meditate on this poem and stay creative in the magic of life.

Honor the Moment

Tree by the Lake
Gives shade to me
A place for plants to climb
And a window to its scene

Sunlight plays with the Lake
Jumping from wave to wave
The mountains just lay in her reflection
Birds sing in the distant woods

The energy is good
All here honor this moment
In our own little ways
Small. Quite. Ancient.

Our ancestors are smiling
On this perfect moment
In this special place
Somewhere by the Massabesic Lake

All healing continues
For all who share
Its energies.

Miracle

Our lives and the world can change with one decision which starts a chain of decisions to create a cycle that can lead us where we did not want to go.

The power of decision is the greatest gift the Creator gave to humanity because this makes it possible for us to become creators as well and learn the art of cause and effect in the magic we call life.

We not only create songs, stories, poems, movies, but also create our lives. If we get to somewhere we do not like, we can make another decision and create a miracle to break that old cycle.
